As part of DMU’s event series linked to the COP26 climate talks, DMU students have the opportunity to join free, online Carbon Literacy Training sessions.
During the sessions, you will learn about what you can do to address the climate crisis and get an official “Carbon Literate” accreditation for taking part.
Carbon Literacy Training is a day full of engaging, group-based interactive learning, that covers what is behind carbon footprints, the basics of climate science and what you can do about it individually and with others.
DMU’s training also shares information on the university’s carbon emissions and climate plans and how you can get involved in efforts locally and at DMU to make a difference.
They are approved learning activities for DMU’s new Sustainability Advocates scheme, which you can learn more about and sign up to here.
A one-hour taster session is taking place from 4 - 5pm on Monday 1 November, as part of a national day of climate action during the first days of the COP26 climate change talks.
This session is a great way to learn more if you are not sure about joining the full one-day course.
The next courses take place online from 2 - 5pm on Wednesday 24 November and Wednesday 1 December.
To sign up to either course, email the DMU sustainability team with your name and P number.
