Enterprise & Entrepreneurship is launching a new series of workshops for DMU students, staff and graduates with a creative business idea.
The new ‘digital sprint’ is a short series of workshops, group sessions and 1-2-1s all designed to help you take your business idea online.
The workshops will include masterclasses on subjects relating to:
- Building a website
- Selling online
- Social Media
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Creating a brand
- Working with the Leicester business community
- Filming and editing videos on a budget
- Graphic design for beginners
- Launching your own podcast
- Personal development & entrepreneurial skills
and so much more!
You’ll learn how to master all kinds of skills from filming and editing videos on your phone, to using google analytics, building your own website and getting more followers on social media. You’ll also be given the business basics you need to be able to sell.
We are collaborating with DMU Mentoring and DMU Global for the programme, providing you with support and guidance from international universities alongside DMU’s award-winning mentoring service.
Participants will benefit from the knowledge of business mentors, experts and DMU’s in-house business support staff within the wider Careers Team.
There will also be dedicated time in the week for you to work from the dedicated DMU Made Studio, located at the LCB Depot, the creative centre just ten minutes from campus.
It is recommended that you attend the full course, however it is not a requirement, and you are free to attend sessions of your choice.
All participants will be encouraged to make their business idea live, having attended one or more sessions.
It doesn’t matter how big or small the business idea is, as these workshops are focused on developing individuals.
