DMU Music Officer Philippa Steel is teaming up with DMU Women for an in-person event about the journey to becoming a musical artist, featuring live performances and a presentation talk.
The event – taking place on Tuesday 16 November, 12:30–1:30pm at St Andrews Church, 53 Jarrom Street, Leicester LE2 7DH – is open to all, and will pose the question of how often we fail to follow our hearts due to the potential consequences of failure. Philippa, a pianist and singer-songwriter, will be sharing her struggles with imposter syndrome, confidence and perfectionism, and how she rebuilt the courage to pursue her ambitions as an artist.
With a talk and live music from Philippa and guest musicians, this promises to be an unmissable event for those with a passion for musical performance.
