We can confirm today that our Covid-19 testing centre at The Watershed will be open until Wednesday 9 December.
Working together with NHS Test and Trace, we opened the centre last month and since then, thanks to your efforts, have carried out nearly 4,500 tests, with several hundred more booked in every day.
The tests are free, give you a result on the same day and are for people with no Covid-19 symptoms. We strongly encourage all of you to book in for regular tests at the centre right up until the day you travel home during the travel window of Thursday 3 – Wednesday 9 December.
The testing centre is operating inside The Watershed on Upperton Road on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.
We are hoping to open the centre this weekend (Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December). If this is confirmed, you will be able to choose those dates when you open the booking system – check back regularly to see if those dates become available.
Booking a test is quick and simple. All students and staff need to do is head to MyDMU and click on the ‘Covid Antigen Test’ tile. You will find more information on booking and the test itself here.
Look out for further communications soon covering the January return travel window and how to access testing once you are back on campus in the new year.
