October deals at DMU's food outlets


Check out what’s new this October across our food outlets as we welcome students back to campus, including our Library Café “Food For Thought”, Black History Month pop-ups, food offers and discounts. 

Food For Thought 

The Library Café has been through an exciting rebrand and is now known as the new eco-friendly ‘Food for Thought, Library Bistro’.

To celebrate, there will be several offers available:

  • Big Bowl Week – Large salad bowls for the price of a small bowl between Monday 30 September – Friday 4 October.
  • Coffee Club – Get your 10th coffee for free!
  • Fresh Salad Club – Get your 10th salad bowl for free!
  • Big Bowl Tuesday – Every Tuesday, get a large salad bowl for the price of a small bowl!

App Loyalty and Discounts 

We have a range of new discounts and offers available, including:

  • 25% off your first Uni Food Hub app order until Saturday 20 November! Available in the Food Village and Coffee House.
  • 20% off Hola Pollo (App only).
  • Refer a friend and get 10% off your order.
  • Appy Hour – 20% off every order between 2-3pm when you use the code “AppyHour”.

Black History Month Pop-Ups

To celebrate Black History Month we will be offering delicious Jamaican dishes in the Food Village every Wednesday throughout October.

Lunch Sampling

This month, in the Food Village we will have different pop-ups every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, offering a variety of culturally diverse foods. This will include:

-        Green Greek Gyros

-        Poke Bowl

-        Bao Buns

-        Mac Shack

We will also be hosting weekly campus walks where students can sample different lunch offerings.

Social Kitchen is back!

The first social kitchen for this academic year will be from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on Thursday 24 October at the Food Village.

Our chef, Dawn Baker will be teaching you how to make plant-based tinga tacos!  Dawn will lead the class, guiding you as you’re cooking and offering advice along the way.
