This year Easter falls on Sunday 31 March, which means that the university will be closed from Good Friday 29 March until Tuesday 2 April, reopening on Wednesday 3 April.
The Kimberlin Library will be open 24/7 for self-service over the bank holidays. Just Ask LibChat will still be available to answer enquiries about the library facilities and service.
A special thanks to everyone working over the long weekend and we would like to wish all staff and students a very happy Easter.
Easter is one of the principal holidays, or feasts, of Christianity, which marks the Resurrection of Jesus and is the joyful end to Lent.
All churches across the city will be open for celebrations during the holiday. For example, St Andrew’s Church in Jarrom Street (next to our campus) is holding services every day in Holy Week.
Father Johannes Arens, Anglican Chaplain and DMU’s Christian Faith Advisor, can be contacted by email: standrewsjarromstreet@gmail.com.
In case of an urgent need to contact somebody, the Canon in Residence at Leicester Cathedral can be called via 07399 523330.
