The National Space Centre is hosting #BritSciFi, a free online weekend of talks, Q&A sessions, workshops and fun fan and family science fiction experiences across their social media pages, from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 May.
You are invited to join the online celebration of iconic science fiction works including Doctor Who, Doctor Who, Blake’s 7, Sapphire and Steel and many more. There will also be opportunities to purchase autographs and merchandise throughout.
Special guests
Special guests include Joanna Lumley, Alex Kingston, Paul McGann, David Bradley, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy. You can submit questions to the guests via the
Space Centre’s Facebook event page.
Activities
Authors, artists, audiobook producers and designers will be sharing their career stories, explaining why they love BritSciFi and revealing how they bring characters and worlds to life.
Science of the Time Lords fans will be delighted to know that the 15th UK Cyber Legion, Project Dalek and Sons of Skaro will be taking part too, so you can find out what the Daleks have been up to in lockdown.
You can also take a virtual tour of Portmeirion Village, the backdrop for the 1960s cult classic, The Prisoner. There will also be a free online escape room (and leader board) “Adventures in Time and Space Centre.”
