From January 2022 until August 2022, there will be building work to replace external sections of Newarke Point.
Why are these works taking place?
Unite Students are carrying out these works following this year's independent fire risk assessment, which as a responsible landlord, they felt they should act on.
The building remains safe to occupy and the recommendations made in the audit were not mandatory.
Information on these works are highlighted on the Unite Students website and in tenancy agreements.
What does this mean for tenants?
- All works will be completed between 9am and 5pm on weekdays to keep disruption to a minimum
- You’ll see scaffolding and other building works on the outside of the building
- You may see contractors working outside your flat
- Your windows may have mirror film on them, meaning you will be able to see outside but no one outside of your room can see in
- Car park access may be restricted

Is there anything else I should know?
You will be contacted with any further updates as necessary and there is nothing further you need to do at the moment.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Unite Students team.
