Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be issuing daily updates on Your DMU Safety, spotlighting a key theme each time, as well as sharing any key updates as the national situation evolves. Today, we want to remind staff and students of our shared commitment to keep each other safe.
Shared commitment
The 'Shared Commitment’ was created collaboratively between the university, DMU staff and students and De Montfort Students' Union (DSU) because we all have a part to play in keeping each other safe. It sets out what we expect from each other as equal partners and stakeholders in protecting health, safety and wellbeing on campus (and beyond). It also provides a framework for expected behaviours that will foster a respectful environment as we all navigate these unusual times together.
We're calling on everyone within the university community to read and join this shared commitment to keep each other safe.
You can also watch a video about the commitment featuring Interim Vice-Chancellor Professor Andy Collop, De Montfort Students' Union (DSU)'s Joanna and student Dennis.
If you have tested positive for Covid-19 please report it to the university by completing our dmu.ac.uk/safetracenotify form.
All the information and help that you need to enjoy campus life in a safe and secure way is available on the Your DMU Safety website. Please make sure you read and follow all of the guidance and support on this site and check back regularly for updates. We will continue to closely follow and implement UK Government, Public Health England (PHE) and local authority guidelines.
