The Graduate Recruitment and Placement Employer Showcase is an event not to be missed for students and graduates who are applying for jobs.
What is the showcase?
This virtual event takes the place of DMU’s largest on campus careers event which is held in term one every year. Due to Covid-19, we don't want you to miss out on engaging with employers who are still recruiting students and graduates.
This showcase will give you the opportunity to view employer profiles, take part in webinars, and find out more about their opportunities. There are also links to their websites where you can apply for roles, and some have even provided contact details so that you can get in contact with them directly.
The virtual event will launch on Tuesday 3 November and there will be a list of organisations that recruit students and graduates on the showcase website.
How will it help me with my career?
It can often be quite difficult to know which companies are hiring, which subjects they recruit from, what their application processes are like, and where to look for organisations that offer the roles you are interested in. The webinars taking place on Tuesday 3 November allow to you find out more about the employers and professions in more detail, and you will have the opportunity to ask them questions.
The employer profiles will also give you an idea of the roles they are recruiting for with important dates for when they open and close for applications (many close before Christmas so it is a good idea to start researching/applying now), as well as dates for any events they are hosting in the coming weeks.
Some organisations are also holding speed interviews for DMU students enabling them to be fast-tracked through their recruitment processes – this means you will not need to complete lengthy application forms to apply.
