Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement
Your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement contains your unique CAS reference number, information about your course of study and your personal details.
You will need to provide your CAS statement when you apply for your student visa.
When we will issue your CAS?
Depending on the course you are studying, we will issue your CAS:
Pre-sessional English language courses
Once you have accepted our offer and paid your tuition fees in full.
When you have completed your English language course you can extend your visa to cover further study and we will issue a new CAS to cover your main course.
Undergraduate or postgraduate courses (without English language study)
When you have accepted an unconditional offer from DMU and you have paid 50% of your tuition fees.
Note: you are required to pay 50% of the total fee you are due to pay to DMU in order to receive your CAS. For instance, if your tuition fee is £16,000, you must pay at least £8,000. If your tuition fee if £16,000, and you receive a £2,000 scholarship, you must pay at least £7,000 to receive your CAS.
Courses with English language study combined
When you have met all the entry requirements and paid your 50% of tuition fee deposit.
You will need to have achieved at least level B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) in each component of an English language test approved by UK Visas and Immigration (see the UKVI list for details). For example, 5.5 in each component of the IELTS test.
For a combined course, we will issue one CAS and your unconditional offer will have an earlier start date to allow you to attend English classes before joining your main academic course.
