Airport pickups

Our airport pickup service operates from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on selected dates to coincide with the start of International Welcome Week in September and in January. We also run the service prior to the start of summer Pre-sessional English classes.

We are currently offering airport pickups on the following dates, for students starting on-campus Pre-Sessional English (PSE) courses in the summer, and for students joining International Welcome Week in autumn 2025:

Friday 6 June (for students joining course PSA, which starts on Monday 9 June). Online bookings for this pickup will close on Friday 30th May.

Friday 4 July (for students joining course PSB, which starts on Monday 7 July). Online bookings for this pickup will close on Friday 27 June.

Friday 1 August (for students joining course PSC, which starts on Monday 4 August). Bookings for this pickup will close on Friday 25 July.

Monday 15 September (for students joining International Welcome Week, which starts on Tuesday 16 September). Bookings for this pickup will close on Monday 8 September.

We can accept bookings from students whose flights are scheduled to arrive before 15:00 on each pick-up date. Online booking for all of these pickups will close one week before the pickup date.

When you make your booking, you will be asked to confirm that you understand and accept the terms and conditions of the service.

Luggage allowance - There will be limited luggage space on the bus and for practical reasons we operate a luggage policy. You are welcome to bring the onto the bus:

Either one large item (maximum size 75cm x 50cm x 32cm) OR two medium items (maximum size of each 70cm x 45cm x 30cm).

In addition to this you are welcome to bring hand luggage (cabin baggage).

After receiving your booking we will email you within one working day, with confirmation of your booking. If you do not see our email, please add arrivals@dmu.ac.uk to your email address book and check your spam or junk folder.

We will contact you if we have any questions about your booking. Final joining information will be sent to you a week before the date of the pickup.
