Events taking place on campus to mark University Mental Health Day


Thursday 13 March marks University Mental Health Day. Each year, Student Minds and the University Mental Health Advisors Network work together to talk about the importance of mental health wellbeing support for students.

This year between 11am and 3pm, DMU will be hosting a Mental Health Fair in the Food Village, with stands covering a range of different subjects relating to mental health. These include:

  • Wellbeing Stand
  • Tellmi Stand
  • Turning Point Stand
  • Trade sexual health stand
  • Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre Stand
  • Victim First stand

There is also the opportunity for students to share wellbeing advice, and win prizes, and also a space for students to take part in seed planting activities[JS1]  and cookie decoration.

Alongside this, university-wide events will be taking place in both the Breathing Space in the Portland building, and the POD Campus Centre.
