Apple announced an important security update (in the week beginning 13 February) affecting a large number of devices. We recommend all staff and students update their Apple devices (phones, laptops and tablets) as soon as possible.
The updates are available for the following affected devices:
- iPhone 8 and later , iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation – please update to iOS 16.3.1
- Macs running macOS Ventura – please update to 13.2.1
- Macs running macOS Big Sur and macOS Monterey – you only need to update the Safari web browser.

This latest security alert is a reminder of how important it is to keep all your computer and mobile devices' software up to date. A vulnerable device could compromise your personal information.
