Leicester City Council have successfully secured funding to improve women’s safety in Leicester.
The funding hopes to improve lighting and camera coverage on safer routes and other important initiatives.
To help identify the level of concern for safety in the various communities that make up Leicester, the council have created a survey to capture information about public places where you have felt or feel unsafe.
This may be due to environmental issues such as street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, for example, being followed or verbally abused.
This survey will help Leicester City Council, Leicestershire Police and other partner agencies exploring how they can address the issues.
The survey closes on Monday 28 February and can be completed here.
