Step up to Great Mental Health – last chance to have your say

Looking after our mental health and wellbeing has never been more important. The last day to complete the NHS mental health services consultation questionnaire is Sunday 15 August. The aim is to find out your views and experiences, as well as any suggestions to improve mental health services.

The NHS have set a number of new proposals in order to improve adult mental health services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Their consultations have highlighted experiences shared by local people from a range of backgrounds, cultures, faiths and characteristics.  There has been a lot to learn from current service users, family carers, the public and health and care staff, about what means most to them and their families.

During the consultation period, there have been some major national and international headlines, including most recently American Gymnast, Simone Biles and England Cricketer, Ben Stokes, who have made some significant decisions to protect their mental health and wellbeing. There is a momentous unmasking of internal struggles at a local level from communities across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, as well as on a wider scale.

The NHS mental health services could be needed by anyone you know. Whether it is your friends, family, neighbours and your local community.

It isn’t too late to have your say and share what matters most to you. Complete the consultation questionnaire before Sunday 15 August 2021.
