Following the unfortunate cancellation of last year’s event due to COVID-19, the LOROS Twilight Walk is coming back with a bang! Taking place on Saturday 14 August, there are now two ways to walk.
Option 1 - Walk in the city
Taking off this year from the Vijay Patel Square, you will make your way to infinity and beyond! Along with star-quality entertainment en route, the 10km walk will be extra special this year, as you will explore the fabulous Rocket Round Leicester Art Trail so you can see our giant, multi-coloured Rockets up close. DMU has sponsored two rockets; the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ rocket, which can be found at the Haymarket Bus Station on Charles Street, and the ‘Women Who Clothed the World’ rocket, situated on Mill Lane on the university campus.
In order to ensure safety, tickets will be limited with staggered start times. All entertainment will be kept at a safe distance. You will be able to walk in groups, so we advise getting your bubble booked on as soon as possible so you can all complete your Twilight Walk in the same time slot. This year’s event is open to all!
Option 2 - Walk anywhere, anytime
You also have the option to complete the 10km Twilight Walk anywhere, anytime. You will get access to an exclusive Twilight Walk playlist, which, together with your out of this world t-shirt, will enable you to embrace the magic of the traditional Twilight Walk as you walk in your chosen location. With Option 2, you are free to make your virtual Twilight Walk completely your own, walking with whoever you want, wherever you want, whenever you want!
