Placements

Placements are one of the best ways to boost your skills and experience and can often lead to your first graduate job.

At De Montfort University (DMU) we deliver a university experience that will fully prepare you for the competitive job market. From real-world placements to projects set and graded by leading employers, our courses are designed to equip you with the skills and experience highly sought after by today's employers.

Format of placements can vary depending on the course of study. We offer a range of options from 12 month sandwich placements, summer placements, internal placements and a number of courses have work based learning practice placements integrated into the curriculum as a professional requirement

Put theory into practice with year-long placements and get a head start in your graduate career.

As well as discovering how your studies relate to the real world, you will learn new skills, make contacts, improve your confidence and, most importantly, future employers will know you have the experience to become a real asset to their organisation. Work-based placements enable you to gain valuable experience to help you get ahead in the job market. That's why more than 1,850 DMU students undertake different types of placements each year.
