Jamal Jeffers is a practising Barrister at KCH Garden Square Chambers in Leicester & Nottingham, specialising in Family law.
Having moved to Barbados as a teenager, Jamal returned to the UK to study for his Law LLB at De Montfort University and graduated in 2010 before being called to the Bar in 2012.
He is passionate about improving access to the legal profession and sits on the Midland Circuit Social Mobility Committee, as well as being a founding member of the Black Minority Ethnics (BME) @ The Bar.
In 2022 Jamal was made a Deputy District Judge, at the time of his appointment being the youngest black judge to have ever been appointed in England and Wales. He was also named as Nottinghamshire Law Society’s first-ever Equality and Diversity Champion in that same year.
