Raindance

Raindance is dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film around the world. Founded in 1992, it combines Raindance Film Festival, a qualifying festival for Oscars®, BAFTA and BIFA, and Raindance Film School. It has been recognised as one the top film festivals in the world by industry publication Variety, and is the largest independent film festival in Europe. Raindance Film School teaches independent filmmaking in evening and weekend classes, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The MA in Filmmaking with Raindance is unlike any other film degree. This flexible learning environment follows a set framework and enables you to follow a bespoke curriculum, tailored to your creative and professional aspirations: you set your own goals, develop your own learning activities, and get the support that you need from the Raindance team.

The Raindance Film School Top-Up BA (Hons) in Film and Performing Arts Practices is a one year practical course that has been designed to provide aspiring, and existing, Film and Performing Arts practitioners the opportunity to develop their existing academic or professional experience up to BA level in a chosen pathway or pathways (producing, directing, screenwriting or acting). This course will develop your professional practice, help prepare you for a career in the Film & TV industry, enhance your employability and provide a route to those seeking further postgraduate education.
