Learn digital skills employers are looking for
Now is the perfect time to learn valuable new skills with DMU’s new 12-week courses in data analytics, and information security management and governance.
More than two million tech vacancies were advertised in the past 12 months, and salaries in the sector are 80% higher than non-tech roles. Yet companies struggle to find enough people with the digital skills they are looking for.
In the East Midlands alone, employers advertised 26,500 data roles for data scientists and analysts from May 2021 to May 2022 according to job site Adzuna.
Demand for cyber security roles also rose 58% in 2021. And the Government estimates that there is a shortfall of 14,000 cyber security professionals because people do not have the skills needed to meet demand.
