Guidance for working from home
We have put together a useful list of dos and don'ts if you are working away from the university.
Encryption software for sensitive data
We have approved a new product for members of staff needing to send personal data or confidential information outside of the university. AES Encrypt creates a new file that cannot be opened without a password and is easy to use. To use it you will need to contact the ITMS service desk to have the software installed.
Find out more about encryption software now.
Protecting your DMU account
We are aware of a number of attempts to obtain DMU staff usernames and passwords through emails purporting to be from the IT department.
We want to emphasise that ITMS will NEVER ask you to respond to an email requesting your username and password. Please do not respond to such emails.
If you are unsure about any requests for your username and password, contact the ITMS Service Desk or find out more about DMU account safety.
