The Food Made Good Standard for DMU Uni Food

Achieving three stars in the Food Made Good Standard means DMU Uni Food are officially recognised for our commitment to sustainability in hospitality!

In 2022, we took the first shot in Food Made Good, back then, we achieved only two stars, but what we received was a meaningful insight into what we can do to improve our strategies.

DMU Uni Food’s Sustainability Champion, Alex Adamczyk, said ‘From the very beginning of working on this accreditation in 2022, I knew the business had made amazing progress, which made me think that DMU Uni Food will achieve the highest position in rankings.’

This accreditation, awarded by the Sustainable Restaurant Association, evaluates businesses across ten impact areas, covering: sourcing sustainably, reducing food waste, promoting healthy and nutritious options and supporting fairness and well-being.

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team in creating a greener, more responsible dining experience for students and staff at DMU!
