DMU is proud to be hosting an Open Community Iftar event to promote unity, solidarity and community cohesion on campus on Wednesday 22 May.
Everyone is invited to attend the complimentary feast and join in the traditions which surround Ramadan and learn about the purpose and benefits of fasting.
The event being held in Hawthorn Square will feature a series of talks and activities.
Come along to celebrate our diverse communities and enjoy an evening promoting peace and unity for all.
The event will start at 7pm and the Iftar (fast opening) meal will be served at sunset. Volunteers will help to sort the donated items from 5.30pm.
Please RSVP to confirm your attendance via email at local@dmu.ac.uk or call 0116 251 7131.
