On Monday, Welford will be ‘off to uni’ with a limited number of match tickets being given away to DMU students as he makes his way around the campus.

He will be meeting the sports department at the Watershed, before making his way to a lecture and then a stop at the Food Village for lunch.

See Welford’s schedule below:

12pm – Visit to the Watershed
12.30pm – Lecture
1pm – Visit to the Food Village

Tigers welcome local rivals Wasps in the Gallagher Premiership at Welford Road on Saturday 2 March. If you don’t manage to grab any tickets from Welford, don’t worry – we will be holding a competition on Twitter which will go live on Monday so there will still be chance for you to get yourself down to the game.

The DMU Takeover Day will welcome the DMU Gospel Choir and Cheerleading Society, who will be performing ahead of the game and at half-time at Welford Road.

We’ll also welcome a local U15s rugby team to take part in the DMU Ultimate Big Boot Challenge at half-time, which tests challengers’ catching skills with the chance to top the season’s leader board as well as bag £1,000 if teams catch all 10 balls.

Students will be able to grab a free t-shirt and take part in a group picture at the DMU stall on the plaza outside the Holland & Barrett Stand.
