This month signals the start of Freelance February, a festival ran by The Innovation Centre at DMU. The festival offers a range of events which explore how you might become your own boss – by being self-employed, freelance, or starting up a new business.
Among the various events is Local Start Up Stories, hosted by The Prince’s Trust. This free hour-long session is designed for young people who want to turn their big ideas into a business reality. It is an opportunity to find out how The Prince’s Trust can support you moving forward, providing mentorship and funding to help you start your journey into self-employment or starting your own business.
Be inspired by inspirational speakers and young ambassadors who will be able to talk to you about their journey through The Prince’s Trust enterprise programme and meet one of their invaluable mentors guiding young people.
Local Start Up Stories will take place on Tuesday 19 February from 2-3pm at The Innovation Centre. All events must be booked in advance, you can book your free place via MyGateway.
