The Development and Alumni Engagement department has developed a fast growing online networking platform: ‘The Global Alumni Community Hub’ which provides easy and convenient access to the full range of alumni services in one place.
Through the Global Alumni Community Hub, new graduates have access to a network of thousands of fellow alumni around the world.
The Global Alumni Community Hub has several innovative features designed to support all our graduates. These include:
- A newsfeed for graduates to share personal or professional news, request support or advice from fellow alumni, and promote opportunities for others to get involved in or causes in need of support.
- An alumni directory allows all alumni and DMU staff registered on the Hub to connect and find old friends or colleagues.
- The alumni mentoring programme which allows graduates further develop knowledge, skills, and capabilities through a one-to-one relationship with an established alumni mentor.
- An alumni jobs board where new career opportunities, both in the UK and abroad, are shared by fellow alumni and partners. This is also the place for graduates to share any vacancies they know about with the rest of the DMU community.
- A photos page allows alumni to share memories of their time at DMU or pictures of what they have been up to since graduating.
- Our groups page is where graduates can join and find out about our Alumni Clubs and Networks. We currently have over 25 clubs worldwide, from London to New York bringing together local alumni to socialise and collaborate. There are also four Alumni Networks based on Faculties, which offers you the chance to stay connected with your academic field and those in your industry.
- An events page allows graduates to find and share events in your area. All relevant DMU events are available here, but we also encourage our alumni to share their own events with our alumni across the globe.
- A business directory where graduates can find a growing catalogue of companies offering exclusive discounts and services to the alumni community. If graduates are considering starting their own company, the business directory can connect them with other entrepreneurs for advice and guidance, as well as promote the company to a growing global audience.
