The Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act (2010) requires public bodies to publish relevant equality information by 31 January each year, and Equality Objectives by 4th April. On this page you will find our information and objectives for 2013.

Our information includes our statistical data, reports of staff and student surveys, relevant staff and student policies and audit reports. All of these documents may be downloaded from our website and are available as PDF and Word documents. Documents can be prepared in alternative accessible formats. Our Equality Information

Statistical Data on Staff and Students

Statistical data on staff and students at DMU offering a data picture of the journey from application, acceptance, progress and achievement, to leaving and moving on. The data is presented over the last three years to show recent trends and is based mostly on data provided to HESA. The university is currently working to develop appropriate benchmarking against the key data stages.

The university is continuously developing and improving both its monitoring and engagement processes. If you are a member of staff and would like to update your details, this can either be done via the Staff Portal, personal tab or by completing an Equality and Diversity Questionnaire| and sending it to the HR Services Team, Eric Wood Building or confidentially via email to HREnquiries@dmu.ac.uk|.

The university constantly monitors its equality and diversity activity which is reported and discussed at the Equality and Diversity Committee.

Annual equality and diversity reports are discussed by the Executive Board and Board of Governors.
