Leicester Tigers are pleased to confirm that De Montfort University (DMU) has renewed its partnership with the club.
The University will remain an official partner of Leicester Tigers and will continue the great work the two organisations deliver each year.
This includes Tigers' hosting of a student ‘Hackathon’ for DMU students studying for their MSc in Sport Management. Following the 'Hackathon', Leicester Tigers have taken on two interns to gain work experience in our Partnerships Department with three-month internships.
Mattioli Woods Welford Road will also continue to host Varsity each year for the men's and women's fixtures between De Montfort University and University of Leicester.
Talking about the continuing partnership, Director of Engagement at De Montfort University, Sarah Thomson, said: “Our partnership with Leicester Tigers merges academic expertise with sporting excellence, creating a unique experience for students, staff and the community.
"Together, we support initiatives that blend sports and education to inspire excellence beyond the playing field.”
Chief Revenue Officer at Leicester Tigers, Mark Davies, added: "We are delighted to renew our partnership with De Montfort University. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to excellence both on the pitch and in fostering educational opportunities for the next generation.”
