De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) shares the nation and wider world’s deep sorrow at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, whose death has been announced today, Thursday 8 September, 2022. The Queen’s dedication and service throughout years of significant change will remain an inspiration for generations to come.
We were honoured by Her Majesty’s visit to our university in 2012, as part of the nationwide commemoration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which began on our campus. Many who are part of the DMU family will acknowledge the lasting impressions the Queen created here, as she so naturally connected with our students.
