There are more than 25 trips across the globe this September to December, which include academic-led trips, employability focused experiences and volunteering opportunities.

The deadline to apply for opportunities is Wednesday 29 May 2019 at 9am.

In the first round of overseas opportunities for 2019/20, academic trips will be heading to exciting destinations such as China, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Milan.

Business students have the opportunity to appreciate and understand the complexities of innovation in the context of sustainability, through a visit to San Francisco.

Through experiencing Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, English language students will gain a deeper understanding of the ways in which culture, language, and history intersect and the ideological struggles of the 20th Century.

Elsewhere, Psychology students can visit Paris to see the tools and history of medicine, and will be able to explore the relationship between brain structure, function and mental health.

All DMU students have the opportunity to develop their employability skills with #DMUworks, our exciting careers programme to help all our students become work-ready. In this round, employability focused trips include a freelancing trip to Estonia and an innovation and entrepreneurial experience in Boston.

Communication Arts student Swee Yee Lim took part in the #DMUworks opportunity Freelancing in New Orleans earlier this year.

She said: “I would certainly say that this trip has benefited me in many different ways - especially within freelancing and entrepreneurship which I foresee to be my future career!”
