A group of Fine Art students at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) are showing their work at the Leicester Creative Business Depot (LCB) in Leicester until 9 February.
The free exhibition has a range of art work including sculpture, painting, photography, prints and drawings. The team are putting on a free workshops on Saturday, January 28 for members of the public who want to learn more about watercolours.
DMU Fine Art student Jia Chen said: “This exhibition gave me an experience in curating, and made me aware of future career options. It definitely made me more prepared for the real world.”
Dale Robertson, Principal Lecturer at DMU School of Arts said: “There are about 15 students involved with the exhibition from first years to PhD students from displaying their work to working behind the scenes.
“This is the first of what we hope will be an annual exhibition and we plan in future years to link the exhibition with others in Loughborough and Nottingham to make an East Midlands-wide event.”

Jemisha Maadhavji added: “The best aspect of the exhibition is that it has a range of art work; sculpture, painting, photography, print and drawing. So from portraiture to abstract, realistic to expressive, Fine Art students of all levels are involved.”
Students exhibiting their art include Jemisha Maadhavji, Jia Chen, Emily Hayland, Kia Hughes, Julian Pinn, Joanna Groves, Helen Gunn, Viktoria Kovalcikova and Emily Clarke.
