DMU's stunning TV advert is back on your screens
The striking TV advert for De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) is now back on screens, on channels including Channel 4 (Midlands), E4, ITV2, MTV and Comedy Central.
The 30-second advert was produced and directed by Framestore, the company behind the Oscar-winning visual effects for blockbuster film Gravity.
Its showings should include slots during Hollyoaks, The Simpsons and The Hills.
The advert will also be showing at cinemas across the country, featuring before films including Jurassic World, San Andreas and Pitch Perfect 2.
Framestore was given the DMU contract by marketing company Cubo after learning how DMU was determined to create something that would stand apart from other university marketing campaigns.
Raleigh Ritchie’s hit Stronger Than Ever was chosen for the soundtrack and actor Merveille Lukeba, star of E4's hit TV programme Skins, delivered the voiceover.
The collaboration produced a stunning advert which vividly represents the values of DMU’s staff and students, and showcases the quality of teaching and research from our talented academics.
The advert, which has been viewed more than 173,000 times on YouTube is expected to appear during a wide variety of programmes including Big Brother, The Official UK Top 40, Come Dine With Me and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Look out for it airing on Dave, Watch, Sky 1, Sky 2, Pick, 4Music, Comedy Central and a whole range of channels popular with students.
A new radio advert is also highlighting DMU’s position as the most-improved university in Britain, and our upcoming Open Days, and can be heard on Capital FM.
