Description

Join us to hear from Knowledge Exchange Professor Tania Hart for her inaugural professorial lecture A Catalyst for Change: A Nurse Academic's Reflections on Transforming the Healthcare Workforce: Past, Present, and Future.

Tania, a visionary mental health nurse and Knowledge Exchange Professor at De Montfort University in her inaugural lecture will share her inspiring journey in supporting past healthcare workforce transformation agendas. She will delve into her own experiences of leading healthcare workforce transformation projects, many of which have focused on introducing innovative roles and work practices. She will emphasise the importance of evidence-based approaches and knowledge advancement in modernising the NHS workforce.

Drawing on her experiences, teaching and research expertise, Tania will also reflect on the opportunities we may seize to promote the resilience, capacity, and sustainability of our healthcare workforce, particularly considering society’s present challenges like an aging population and advancement in medicine seeing people live longer, coupled with a declining birth rate.

Tania will conclude by outlining her future steps in supporting the government's current healthcare workforce agenda with a specific focusing on nursing.

A drinks reception will follow after the lecture.

Ticket sales will close 1 hour before the event starts.
