Personal profile

Prakash Pandey is a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Media at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. He has received his MSc in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (2014) and a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering (2020) from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. His PhD research is about the thermal characterisation of miniature hotplates used in gas sensing technology. He has developed a novel thermal measurement technique which was based on measuring the emitted optical incandescent radiation as a function of operating temperature.

Dr Pandey has a special interest in thermal characterisation of micro-electronic devices and circuits using infra-red techniques. He teaches various modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Electronics Engineering and supervise student projects.
