Dr Abolfazl Zahedi awarded his PhD (2013) in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University. Following the completion of his PhD, Abolfazl received a Marie Curie research fellow, which provided funding for a year to extend his collaboration with Mechanics of Advanced Material research group in Loughborough University. After finishing his fellowship, he joint to Advance Forming Research Centre (AFRC) in University of Strathclyde as a research associate. He ran industrial projects for Aerospace in metal forming and advanced manufacturing disciplines. Abolfazl started his position (2015) as a research fellow in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) in the University of Manchester. Since 2016 Abolfazl has appointed a Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University. His main research interests are computational material modelling, additive manufacturing, biomechanics, and tissue engineering. Furthermore, He is interested to use applied mathematics to solve engineering problems. In particular, analytical methods to facilitate design and the associated issues for vibrations.
