Personal profile

I am a Senior Lecturer in Learning Development based in the Centre for Learning and Study Support at De Montfort University. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) and a DMU Teacher Fellow. I have worked in higher education in Australia, the USA and the UK. I have extensive professional experience as a librarian, and have worked in private sector architecture and design practices as a quality manager. Broadly speaking, my interest is in learning and the context in which it takes place, adopting philosophical and qualitative approaches to enquiry. My work has recurring themes of power, connectivity, temporality, relationality, space, generational exchange and the possibilities for love and wonder.
