Welcome to my University page! I am Thanos Athanasopoulos, Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Finance, Accounting, and Economics and Deputy Programme Leader for the BA in Business Economics and the Economics Joint Programmes. 

Research group affiliations

 Institute for Applied Economics and Social Value.

Research interests/expertise

My main research interests lie in the field of Industrial Organisation with a particular focus on (Digital) Platforms and Firm Strategy in Industries with network effects, Antitrust and Regulatory Economics, and Economics of Science and Innovation.  I have also recently been involved in pedagogical projects.
