Who we work with
We work with local businesses, companies from across the UK and instantly-recognised brands to establish partnerships and collaborations that deliver business and social benefit.
We support employers and are committed to preparing our students for the world of work, providing educated and employable graduates.
There are opportunities to get involved with #DMUlocal, a programme that aims to make a significant contribution to the social and economic development of Leicester and bring positive change across the city.
We provide start-up and small business support at the university's Innovation Centre, and opportunities for free legal advice and guidance.
In September 2018, IBM enrolled 14 of their new recruits onto the Software Engineering pathway of the Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship.
Early feedback from IBM is that the apprentices are gaining skills at a good rate, and are already capable of being contracted out to clients in between their study weeks at DMU.
Tammie Wilde, Early Careers HR Business Partner at IBM, commented that they chose to work with DMU because of our responsiveness, client relationship management, and flexibility.
