Employability and careers
At DMU we understand the importance of ensuring graduates are properly prepared for the job market. Within six months of completing their course, 93.8 per cent of DMU undergraduates are in further education or in full-time employment* with companies like Adidas, the BBC, Next, Nike and BMW.

DMU courses are designed to provide the skills and experience today’s employers look for and include work placements and projects set by leading companies.
Support extends beyond the classroom and includes:

Many DMU courses are accredited by professional bodies such as:
- Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ)
At DMU we prepare students for a wide range of job-roles - ranging from accountants to architects, footwear designers to forensic scientists, musicians to marketers and radio presenters to researchers - in preparation for careers with employers such as the BBC, Warner Bros, NHS, Porsche, HSBC, Sky TV, Dyson, Nike, GlaxoSmithKline and many more.
