A number of scholarships and early payment discounts are available to help international students finance their study at De Montfort University (DMU).

2014/15 postgraduate research (iPhn/6 week rule) is still open for enrolment, the cost of tuition is £5,500.

Scholarships and discounts for 2015/16

DMU is pleased to offer a wide range of scholarships and discounts to international students for the 2015/16 academic year to support the cost of study and to reward academic excellence.

EU students do not qualify for these scholarships and discounts but are eligible to apply for a student loan. For more information visit our undergraduate | and postgraduate | funding pages.

Full fee discounts |

All international students who pay their tuition fees in full within four weeks of enrolment are entitled to a discount of £500 .

This discount can be combined with other scholarships or discounts and is open to all full-time students paying overseas tuition fees at DMU for the first time.

Please note that  Leicester International Pathway College, |  English language preparation, distance learning and part-time courses are not included in this discount.

2015/16 International Alumni scholarships and discounts scheme

The 2015/16 International Alumni scholarships and discounts scheme is part of the university’s on-going commitment to enhancing the personal and career development of our own graduates. Students will be entitled to a generous tuition fee scholarship or discount for selected taught Master's or professional courses depending on the level of academic achievement attained.

The scholarship programme applies to DMU international students who are graduating in 2015 or have graduated within the last two years (2012/13 or 2013/14).

There are two tiers to the scholarship and discount, depending on the level of academic merit achieved:

  • A discount of £2,000 is offered to all alumni who have graduated within the last two years.
  • A scholarship of £5,000 (inclusive of the £2,000 discount above) is available to all alumni who achieve an upper second or a first class degree.

There is no application process for this discount and scholarship.

DMU Square Mile scholarship

This exciting scholarship, covering full tuition fees and living costs, will be offered to an outstanding international student who can demonstrate dedication to serving his or her local community.
