Curve collaboration

Our collaboration with the Curve Theatre has given our students the opportunity to work with professional directors in a world-class setting. Designed by world renowned architect Rafael Viñoly the theatre lies at the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.  

In previous years, as part of our association with Curve Theatre, Drama Studies students have performed in:

The project provides an exciting opportunity for our students to work on challenging theatrical texts within a professional environment. 

As part of the collaboration students also gain valuable experience as assistant directors and assistant stage managers.

Drama Studies students have also been cast in leading and support roles in other major productions at Curve as part of Curve's Young Company and their annual Community Production.

Anthony Burgess’ A Clockwork Orange is the 7th annual co-production with Curve, offered Drama Studies BA (Hons) and Performing Arts BA (Hons) students the opportunity to work with the theatre’s artistic team and perform at Curve.
