This course is designed to provide the fundamental skill of Basic Life Support to registered and non-registered health care workers. It can also be tailored for lay persons or groups wishing to upskill their staff in this area. Our course follows the Resuscitation Council Guidelines (2015).
The course is run over 3 hours and includes adult Basic Life Support and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Courses can also be tailored to customer needs and can include paediatric Basic Life Support if required.
By the end of the course delegates will be competent in performing Basic Life Support which includes; airway manoeuvres, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and the use of an AED.
Our experts have been providing Basic Life Support training for over 20 years and we have a number of qualified academics who lead these sessions.
This course can be tailored to suit individual customer needs. The course can be delivered at De Montfort University in our specialised clinical laboratory, or in-house at a venue of your choice.
