Published today, the Guardian University Guide sees DMU rise 20 places to 65. The guide is the latest to rank DMU in the top 50 for graduate employability (48th) and is the latest in a series of league table improvements seen by the university.

The Sunday Times and Times named DMU as the most-improved university in Britain in its most recent league table and DMU was also placed in the top 50 universities with the best employment rates.

In April, DMU gained its highest-ever position in the influential Complete University Guide, rising 17 places to 54.The student-led WhatUni? website also placed DMU in the top 50 universities, based on feedback from students.

These league table rises confirm growing recognition of DMU’s sustained focus on improving graduates’ employability and its determination to provide students with the best possible university experience.

Links with top brands such as Rolls-Royce, IBM and Gap have seen students given incredible placement opportunities while Graduate Champions provides recent graduates with paid internships with leading UK businesses to boost their CVs.

DMU’s innovative #DMUglobal programme – which provides students with international experiences on campus and overseas - has also been hailed by business bosses as crucial in developing graduates with a global outlook.

#DMUglobal was praised by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) at the GREAT Festival of Creativity, the UK Government’s showcase of the best of British innovation.

Three of DMU’s courses are placed in the top 20 within their subject discipline in the Guardian league table:

Arts and Festivals Management was ranked 7th; Fashion and Textiles 13th and Journalism 18th.

DMU was also ranked 29th in the Guardian University Guide for value added, a measure of how universities help their students improve in order to achieve good honours at graduation.
