Personal profile

At Faculty level, Helen has helped to set the laws for academic practice at De Montfort University and now acts as co-ordinator for the Faculty for Post Graduate Research.

As Senior Lecturer Helen is an expert in the field of design, pattern cutting and garment fit. Her experience in the clothing industry began at production level and gradually progressed to design, pattern cutting, grading and fit diagnosis through in house training and further study. Helen has worked as a consultant to the ‘high street’ and niche markets, resolving garment fit issues on women’s, men’s and children’s wear since 2007.
